Volunteering is a great way to give back to your community and serve those who need the most help. There are a variety of ways you can help with Project CAR:
- Be a driver – take clients to and from their medical appointments, community service, or employment. Use our safe and reliable fleet of comfortable vehicles and receive routing and two-way radio assistance. Drive as much or as little as you’d like. We follow CDC guidelines for masks in the vehicles. Most shifts are between 1 and 4 hours a day.
- Be an on-call office assistant – be on a list to help staff the office when the executive director is away.
- Be a vehicle inspector – periodically check our fleet for fluid levels, assist with cleaning, take the vehicles for routine maintenance, and report issues to the office staff.
- Be a fundraiser – help out our fundraising committee by helping with events and campaigns to raise funds to subsidize rides
